For Parents - FAQ

1. Do I need to pay any extra charges for the service?
   Parents do not pay any charges. However, we will collect from the parents 50% of the tutor's 1st month pay.
   
   

   Eg Example:
   Commission = first 2 lessons (if tuition is scheduled to be once per week)
   Commission = first 4 lessons (if tuition is scheduled to be twice per week)
   Commission = first 6 lessons (if tuition is scheduled to be thrice per week

2. How long do I need to wait before I can be assigned a home tutor?
   Our co-ordinator will get back to you on the same day, or either the day after.
3. How do I verify the tutor's qualifications?
   All tutors are to bring their cert on the 1st day of the lesson. All tutors are encouraged to meet us for an interview. In this way, we can ascertain their teaching experience and methodologies beyond their paper profile. In Addition, we send tutor profiles to allow the parent to ascertain their creditability. We also encourage tutors to speak to the parent before tuition is confirmed
   
4. Is there any commitment?
   Students and tutors are expected to commit at least one month of tutoring. This allows a minimum period for both the students and the tutors to get used to each other's style of learning and teaching.
5. How to make payment to EDU Connection?
   You can make payment by cheque or money transfer via internet banking or ATM. Once payment is made, please inform EDU Connection through SMS or e-mail so that we can issue you a receipt.

For Tutors - FAQ

1. Is there a joining fee to register as a tutor?
   No, there is no joining fee.
2. What are the rates chargeable by EDU Connection for tuition assignments?
   50% of your first month pay will be payable to EDU Connection after completion of half a month's assignment during the 1st month.
3. How do I make payment to EDU Connection?
   EDU Connection will request the payment directly from the parents after you have completed half of your 1st month's lessons. In some cases, we will request tutors to collect and to transfer to our account.
4. What is the minimum qualification requirement for tutors?
   All tutors, a min least A Level & Diploma qualifications & above. All tutors have to be at least 18 years old, and either a Singaporean or Permanent Resident.
5. Do I need to show proof of my qualifications?
   Yes, please upload your cert when signing up with us. We require you to bring your certificates (Original or Certified True Copies) on the 1st lesson for verification by the parents. Any tutors found to misrepresent his or her qualifications will be blacklisted in our database and denied existing and future assignment placements with EDU Connection.
